Gamelan Workshops

Spend an hour exploring and playing the Javanese Gamelan.  The traditional orchestra of Indonesia, Hull's Gamelan Kyai Sri Jaladri Naga, or Honorific Sea Dragon is made up of gongs, metallophones and hand drums.  Playing the Gamelan can be creative and absorbing from the very first time you have a go.  No experience necessary.

Songbirds Access workshop

Using live music, song and percussion, families are invited to come and help Songbird's musicians Ros and Mark to create   music for the Songbird's Tale. River Rapids, Tropical Islands, Terrapin Taxis will come to life through music, sound and storytelling. Join Ros and Mark for a morning of music making, hear the Songbirds Tale story, listen to them play their own music and create music together, inspired by scenes from Songbirds' Tale.

Mr Big, Early Years workshop

Early Years workshop for 3-5 year olds and their grown ups.

Join Polly Ives, Mark Slater and their musicial friends to explore the story of Mr Big by Ed Vere.

Mr Big is strong, Mr Big is tough, Mr Big is . . . well . . . BIG! He has just one small problem - because of the way he looks he just can't get people to stick around. How can he show them that although he may look a little scary, he is just a great big softy inside?

Hull Samba

Join Hull Samba for an afternoon of music making.

Come and learn the infectious rhythms of carnival on traditional Brazilian instruments.

Suitable for all ages and players of all abilities.

Hull Samba will be giving a short performance between 12:30 and 1:00.
