Albemarle Jazz Camp

The Jazz Camp explores improvised music, the various styles of jazz and the leading pioneers of this artform. Students also learn about chord/scale relationships, melody and harmony, through learning simple harmonic rhythm progressions, melodies, and form & structure in jazz. The emphasis is this session is to learn as much of the material ‘by ear’ which is true to the spirit of jazz.
