The first East Hull Brass Project rehearsal took place at Maybury Primary school, bringing together 38 pupils from six schools in the east of the city – all playing brass instruments and percussion.
Children from Alderman Cogan, Highlands Primary, Marfleet Primary, Maybury Primary, Neasden Primary, and Woodland Primary schools joined forces to rehearse music including “Shotgun” by George Ezra, as well as “Rocket Ship” and “Little Bird.”
It was great to see pupils from different areas working together and making music as one group. For many, it was a chance to take part in something they wouldn’t usually have the opportunity to do. Everyone did a superb job and represented their schools brilliantly.
We’ll be back for another rehearsal after half term, and both staff and students are already looking forward to it.
