Congratulations to everyone who performed in ‘A Night at the Movies’! We enjoyed a fantastic concert playing some great music from films, musicals and TV. It was a great experience for all of the bands to play to a full house in Middleton Hall. It is so important for the younger players to see, hear and be inspired by the more experienced players. The music was a lot of fun to learn and the atmosphere from all of the young people involved was fantastic, they provided support for each other throughout. The senior wind band were a perfect example of professionalism, they attended extra rehearsals to work with the younger bands and were a great help at the concert.
My highlights were Skyfall, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins with the wonderful choreography from the percussionists Ben and Toby and of course, Shrek – it was great to see the audience joining in with the dance moves!
