We are excited to invite clarinet and saxophone players to take part in the RBC Single Reed Roadshow 2026, a free event hosted by East Riding Music Service as part of the Humber Hub partnership. The roadshow is designed for students playing at Grade 5 standard and above and offers a fantastic opportunity to work with staff and students from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Date: Tuesday 6 October 2026
Time: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Venue: The Hexagon Music Centre, Coltman Avenue, Beverley, HU17 9LP
During the evening, participants will work with Douglas Mitchell (Associate Head of Woodwind) and David Zucchi (Head of Saxophone), alongside conservatoire students, taking part in:
Fun and engaging warm-up activities
Instrument-specific workshops for clarinet and saxophone players
Massed ensemble rehearsals
A relaxed performance for family and friends at the end of the session
This is a wonderful opportunity to develop musical skills, meet other young musicians from across the region, and gain valuable experience working with expert performers and teachers.
